Janmashtami is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous incarnations of Lord Vishnu. To mark the birth of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in Suncity School, Sec 37 D, Gurgaon. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion and faith. The students of Grade IV E conducted a special assembly which elaborated on how and why we celebrate Janmashtami.
The assembly started with a bhajan which took everyone to the world of spiritualism. Moving ahead, the students apprised everyone with the current happenings nationwide and around the globe. Lord Krishna’s message of unity and love is timeless, the students encouraged everyone to see beyond differences and embrace each other with kindness. The audience was spellbound to see a mesmerizing dance performance depicting the playful and enchanting aspects of Lord Krishna’s life.
Our beloved principal ma’am, Ms. Guneet Ohri blessed all the students on this auspicious day and gave them the message of looking ahead instead of reminiscing in the past. Her words truly summed up the efficacy of celebrating festivals of devotion.
