Bidding Adieu – Farewell batch of 2024-25
The corridors of Suncity School 37D echoed with emotions as we bid farewell to our very first batch of Grade XII in a heartfelt celebration. The day began on a solemn note with a ceremonial “Hawan”, invoking the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, filling the air with serenity, wisdom, and new beginnings and wishing the students the very best for their board examination and future careers.
This was followed by the heartwarming farewell celebrations by Grade XI students as hosts. The event commenced with an opening address by our Vice Principal, Ms. Harvinder Kaur, setting the tone for a memorable day. Our Principal, Ms. Jayshree Patel’s welcome address filled the hall with warmth, and heartfelt wishes for a wonderful future.
The soul-stirring musical ensemble dedicated to friendship struck a chord, followed by the much-anticipated “Bestowal Ceremony” – reading of citations and presenting of sashes, honouring the journeys of our senior-most batch. The incredible mentors passed on glowing tea-lights to the outgoing batch, illuminating their path ahead while igniting the legacy of future Suncitizens.
Adding a fun twist, the “Truth Quest & Dare Fest” brought mentors and students together in a delightful exchange of challenges and memories! The stage then came alive with the electrifying Fusion Beats by Grade XI students, only to be outshone by the surprise dance performance by Grade XII girls, leaving everyone spellbound!
The outgoing Head Boy- Vaibhav Venkatesh and Head Girl- Gul took the stage one last time, weaving together their journey, cherished memories, and hard-earned lessons into a heartfelt farewell—one that will echo in the hearts of Suncitizens for years to come.
As emotions ran high, our founder Principal and now Director, Ms. Guneet Ohri’s farewell address served as a heartfelt tribute, reminding the students of the memorable events in their journey to the very day, building nostalgia and invoking the promise to stay connected with the assurance that they will always remain a part of the school's legacy.
Today you don’t just graduate- you leave behind a legacy - "Go forth, shine and make us proud!"
The celebration concluded with the ceremonial cake-cutting, followed by a delicious farewell lunch, marking the perfect end to an unforgettable day.
