The students of Suncity School-37D participated in “TechSmert 2020 E Colosseum” organised by DAV Public School, Sector-49. Vaibhav Venkatesh of grade VIII won the first position in POINT OUT. Vaibhav submitted a Sway presentation on the topic “Happiness is All about Giving than Taking”. An amalgamation of social education and technology; true tech-smartness! Navya Shankar gave an enchanting performance on a classical number and grabbed a special mention in BE-SEEN: Dance Competition in the Junior Category. Way to go!

The students of Suncity School 37 D proved their inherent talent in the Robotics festival ‘Robo Fest 2019’ organised by Suncity School, sector-54 in collaboration with Robo Genius Learning Solutions on Oct 16, 2019. The team grabbed the first prize in the junior category and did us proud. The participants – Anay Tyagi, Kingshuk Acharya and Anhad Goel were applauded for their knowledge, scientific enquiry skills and phenomenal presentation. The Principal, Ms Guneet Ohri appreciated and congratulated the students for their tremendous victory.

The students of Suncity School 37 D have proven their excellence in the event ‘Reverie’ organised by DPS Sec-84 on Oct 17, 2019. With pleasure, we share that our students bagged 1st position in ‘Nrityayama’- Dramatic Dance for depicting ancient tradition and enunciating the theory of aesthetics and the techniques of dramaturgy along with dance, movement, communication and improvisation. Team Suncity congratulates the achievers, parents and mentors.

The crux of participation is educating and consequently learning. To win an accolade or two is like a cherry on the cake. Our young Suncitizens from Grade IV and V participated in an online Live Inter-School Competition, ‘Esprit-2020’, organised by Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar on 21st and 22nd May 2020. They enthusiastically participated in ‘Speech Craft’ and ‘My Story...My Way’. The performance of all the participants in each category was appreciated, and Suhasini Gupta (Grade IV) cast her spell on the audience with her unique style and grabbed II prize in ‘Speech Craft’. The judges for the event, education analyst Ms Neera Chopra and theatre veteran Mr Stephen Marazzi acknowledged the originality in the speech. This was an excellent platform for children to come together, at a time when we have been barred from meeting each other amidst this lockdown.

Plants are a major necessity in the balance of nature, people’s lives, and our terrain. It is almost impossible to define the importance of plants in our lives. In order to understand some of its importance a show and tell activity, ‘Organic Bazaar’ was conducted for the children of Grade 2 to enjoy and learn on the virtual platform. The ‘activity was conducted on 7th August 2020.

The students came draped in nature, with various plants and products obtained from plants, and shared their knowledge about it. The students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed sharing and learning from each other. A glimpse into the activity…
