Amidst COVID19, the online has become the new normal. The first ever Online Investiture Ceremony of Suncity School-37D for the academic session 2020-2021 was held with great zeal and dignity in a special ceremony on Microsoft Teams platform. The event was presided over by Ms. Ruma Purkayasath(Renowned Educationist) as Chief Guest and Ms. Guneet Ohri the Principal of Suncity School 37D. It was conducted with the high degree of earnestness and passion.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
This year the whole online process i.e. submission of nomination, interview by the investiture committee, campaigning and canvassing by the candidates and finally democratic voting procedure was set in place which ultimately led to selection of the school student council 2020-21.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the auspicious lamp of knowledge followed by the soulful rendition of Guru Vandana.
It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.
The newly elected student council members pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honor and glory of the institution. The Chief Guest also exhorted them to uphold the values. She reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers and struggles help one to achieve heights.
The student parents also appreciated the school efforts and felt proud while conferring the badges to their ward. The Principal Ma’am concluded by advising the appointed student council to be role models and extended a supporting hand to them for the smooth running of the school. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
