One way of discovering the curriculum with the children is, integrating it across the board with other subjects, and the same was done through the activity‘ Rumble in the Jungle’ during the Language and Performing Arts Integration Week, organized by Suncity School 37-D.The young Suncitizens of Grade I looked super excited as they came dressed on the theme ‘Animals’ and spoke about the appearance, features and importance of the animals that they played the role of. They also carried props to convey their message. They explored the importance of SDG 15- ‘Life on Land’ and made other students aware about it through their presentations. It was amazing to see the choice of animals and the wide horizon of information shared by them. Apart from the academic concept, the young minds learnt a lot about different animals. This was only possible because they were able to relate more closely to real-world linguistic connections in an integrated curriculum approach. We were amazed by the meticulous efforts shown by the students.
