Students of Grade 6 to 8 were introduced to Artist Van Gogh in relation to landscape art and Impressionism.
Landscape art, is the depiction of natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, especially where the main subject is a wide view—with its elements arranged into a coherent composition. Impasto- paint that is applied to a canvas or paper in quantities that make it stand out from the surface.
Students were demonstrated to use Impasto technique in creating Impressionist Work. Students were excited to learn the new vocabulary with brush handling techniques in Visual Art Session.
