School group tours are not only fun but these are also good opportunities for students to expand their knowledge crucial to higher level learning and problem-solving skills. Students take what they’ve learnt, back into their everyday life and this experience impacts them for months and years to come!
The students from Grades IX – XI chose to travel to Mukhteshwar from 21st April to 24thApril as a part of their CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) programme and also wrap up some fun , exploration and adventure. . Students participated in daily household practices of village people by cooking on the “Chula”, feeding the livestock , planting local herbs and carrying water from afar like the villagers do on a daily basis for their survival. They understood how hardship brings in resilience.. Students also did community service by donating old books for the village school library and buying locally produced herbal products to support the local Supi village farmers.
Design Thinking workshop and Group Discussion was organized by strategy expert to identify current issues and challenges faced by the Model Village..
They also participated in various thrilling adventure activities like Rock Climbing, Zip Lining and Rappelling.
Last but not the least, students explored the Mall Road in Nainital by shopping at the amazing Bhutia Market and enjoyed the local cuisine. The trip ended with a memorable Musical Night and Bonfire.
