The IC3 Annual Conference 2024 was a milestone event, attracting over 2,000 educators, school leaders, and counselors from more than 75 countries, as well as representatives from 150 universities worldwide. This premier platform fostered discussions on the future of education, college readiness, and career counseling. This year's theme, "From Competition to Competence," emphasized shifting the focus from competitive metrics to developing core competencies and nurturing intrinsic self-worth among students. The conference, held over two days, featured a rich array of sessions and networking opportunities that resonated deeply with all participants.
Suncity School, 37D, under the leadership of management members Ms. Nadini Singh and Ms. Varsha Jhorar, along with Principal Ms. Jayshree Patel, played an active role in this prestigious event. Ms. Ashmita Arora also participated in a key session titled "Sharing Roadmap for Setting Up a School-Based Career Counseling Department," where she explored practical strategies for developing robust career counseling programs in schools.
The second day of the conference, August 29th, was equally impactful, featuring a range of sessions tailored to the diverse interests of attendees. A standout session was the "Conscious & Wellbeing Track: Put Your Data Where Your Wellbeing Is," led by Daniel Tobon Garcia. This session offered a visionary approach to improving school wellbeing at scale, emphasizing the integration of data-driven strategies to enhance student welfare.
Other notable sessions included "Strategic Profile Building: Elevating College Counseling," which explored advanced strategies for making college counseling more effective, and "Maximizing Opportunities and Navigating Complexities in the Middle East," which addressed unique educational challenges and opportunities in the region. The "High School Expo," held on the same day, facilitated planned networking between higher education institutions (HEIs) and high schools, providing a structured environment for forging long-term partnerships.
