"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." — Saint Augustine.
Students of Grades IX-XII recently embarked on an enriching 4-day excursion to Kyari, a peaceful village near Jim Corbett, from 28 September to 1 October. This experience combined adventure, cultural exploration, and community service, offering valuable life lessons beyond the classroom.
The students participated in exciting activities like zip-lining, rock climbing, and an obstacle course. These challenges not only tested their physical limits but also taught them teamwork, problem-solving, and the importance of overcoming personal fears—skills that will benefit them in both school and life.
A highlight of the trip was the Community Action Service (CAS) Project at GIC Government School, Kyari. Our students brought their enthusiasm and creativity, engaging the village children in storytelling, folk dances, a Mini Olympics, and a Nukkad Natak (street play). They also donated books to the school’s library, a small yet impactful contribution to the local community’s educational resources.
The trip also strengthened their bond with nature, with visits to the Jim Corbett Museum, Garjiya Devi Temple, and an exhilarating Jungle Safari. The final evening featured a Gala Night full of fun and connection, followed by a reflective session the next morning where students shared their insights and personal growth.
This journey was much more than a break from routine—it was a powerful learning experience in leadership, empathy, teamwork, and responsibility.
