“The world is the true classroom. The most rewarding and important type of learning is through seeing something with our own eyes.” - Jack Hanna
Students from Grade VII and VIII embarked on an educational trip to Mukteshwar, a picturesque hill station nestled in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand , with the objective of understanding the overall presence of the Mukteshwar Shiva temple. They learnt that this famous temple does not only have a History attached to its presence but also the architecture (dimensions ,type , geography, mythology and material used) ,
This special project combined education by exploration and research aligning itself with the TASK ethos (Trip, Application, Skill, Knowledge) of our school.
The students engaged with the locals to gain valuable insights into history, architecture, art, and the cultural significance of this temple. The collation of the research once back on campus will culminate their in-depth learning and understanding integration of various aspects and subjects.
Another highlight of the trip was the visit to a village, a Community service & Immersion (CAS & SEWA) programme where they gained real-world experience, developed 21st Century Skills, fostered personal growth through creative, active, and service-oriented learning.
They also explored the beautiful the Hidden Waterfall, went on a trek to Chauli ki Jhali, where they had a plethora of experiences from adventure activities like Rappelling, Archery, Flying Fox and Rock-climbing.
An extremely enriching experience indeed!!
