Gender Sensitivity in Schools

One-Day CBSE Capacity Building Programme on “Gender Sensitivity in Schools” was on 24 January 2026 where over 60 educators participated.

The programme aimed to build awareness, promote inclusivity, and foster respectful and supportive school environments.

The training was effectively conducted by the CBSE Resource Persons, Dr. Shalini Verma and Ms. Kavita, who shared valuable insights and practical strategies to sensitise teachers towards gender-related concerns in school settings.

The sessions highlighted that sex is biological, while gender is a social construct shaped by culture and societal expectations, influencing roles, behaviours, and power dynamics  while simultaneously emphasising the importance of gender awareness and equality

The training was engaging and informative, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating inclusive and respectful learning environments.
