Suncity School, 37-D, Gurugram witnessed a morning of pride, purpose, and powerful emotion as the Investiture Ceremony and Scholar Badge Ceremony for the session 2026–27 unfolded in a truly unforgettable celebration of leadership and excellence.
Held in the special spirit of Mother’s Day, the ceremony became a heartfelt tribute to the parents who shape every child’s journey. In one of the most moving moments of the day, mothers proudly pinned badges onto their children — a symbolic gesture honouring the hands that first nurture confidence, resilience, and character. Equally acknowledged was the quiet, unwavering strength of fathers — the silent pillars whose support often speaks loudest through actions rather than words.
The occasion was graced by Major General Arvind Bhatia, whose stirring address on discipline, courage, and the values of Naam, Namak, Nishaan deeply inspired the young leaders of Suncity.
Reflecting on Operation Sindoor, he reminded students that leadership is rooted in service, integrity, and responsibility towards the nation.
Director Ms Guneet Ohri, in her impactful virtual address, spoke about the power of presence, choices, and character, while Ms Principal Jayshree Patel beautifully highlighted how parents — especially mothers — become the first mentors and makers of leaders.
The ceremony also celebrated academic brilliance as 15 outstanding Grade X scholars were felicitated, led by Ved Sandeep Dhoble with an exceptional 99% aggregate, including perfect scores in Mathematics and AI. The top 3 achievers were additionally awarded scholarships, reinforcing Suncity’s commitment to recognising excellence.
From the grandeur of the March Past and ceremonial badge pinning by the proud mothers to the emotional flag handover and the mesmerizing cultural presentation Rhythm of the Rising, every moment reflected dignity, grace, and the spirit of rising together.
And as the hall echoed with the stirring words of the school anthem — “We are the children of tomorrow…” — the spirit of hope, responsibility, and leadership came alive in every heart. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the audience with a deep sense of pride, unity, and purpose.
